Happy New Year!

I've been working and reworking a few things.

I was featured on The Handmade Guru for my Snail Earrings. The site owner requested some Penguins, so I just added them!

I also reworked the Pea Pod Cuddle sack. I made it larger to fit newborn to 1 month. It also gave me the opportunity to add a third pea to the pod.

There might be a few new opportunities in the works as well. Michael, from Micky'smail on Youtube might be featuring several video tutorials of my peapod cuddlesack. This is super exciting! We might also be doing a cross over where he will be featuring my hooks and stitch markers for sale on his website.

If you are into loom knitting, crocheting or internet marketing, please check out his website. He has links to his suppliers (including me) patterns and video tutorials. Plus he's just awesome!

I've been sooooo busy (that's a good thing)

It's been a busy few weeks here at Fyrestorm Creations. I sent out 22 packages on Monday, 4 on Wednesday and 11 on Friday...not too bad :)

So I thought I should post all the new stuff that's been added so get ready for the onslaught of pictures.

I just did a baby cocoon or Cuddle Sack - Adorable! Pea in the pod. I might have to do a few more of these. We'll have to see how it goes.

I used my daughters monkey as a model...no babies here and Cheech was a willing dupe.

I made a few spa sets as well:

This is the brights set - It comes with a Tulip scented Handcrafted Soy soap

This is the naturals set - It comes with a Lavender scented Handcrafted Soy soap

This is what I call the preppy set -It comes with a Cucumber Melon scented Handcrafted Soy soap

I've also added a few more Stitch Marker sets and Wine charm sets:

Knit Hat, Mitten and Yarn Ball Markers

Knit Hat, Mitten and Yarn Ball Wine Charms

Mice Stitch Markers

I also went back to my polymer roots and decided to tey my hand at filigree again. I think the ornament came out well...I'm not sure my hands survived extruding the clay though. I might add these to the website and maybe Etsy. I need to see how much my poor digits can take.

Last but not least this week are the felted bowls and pot handle covers, here are the pictures, I'll let them speak for themselves.

I also wanted to let you all know that I am in this month's Little Black Box again and they are on sale - please go get one and help support indy artisans! There are some great companies this month including lots of bath and body. Check it out, fab stocking stuffers.

Time to get it together for the holidays

Well, I just spent the evening going through my pictures, my website, my Etsy shop and my Ebay listings comparing and making lists and more lists and checklists to see if I had everything listed on all the sites and if I had all the new pictures posted for them. Wow do I have my work cut out for me. I guess I have a bad habit of forgetting to relist items on Etsy when they sell or expire. My website can also be a PIA to update and I've been really bad about sucking it up and just getting it done.

I suppose I know what I will be doing for the next few days :).

In the mean while, for your viewing pleasure, here are the latest updated pictures.

In Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month....

Since October is not only the month that contains my favorite holiday, but also and more importantly Breast Cancer Awareness month, I have decided to do some limited edition jewelry. I am adding Pink Ribbon Earrings and a new Pink Ribbon Pin.

I haven't gotten them up on Ebay, Etsy or my website yet since I really need to get better pictures...but I hope to have them up over the weekend.

Proceeds from the sales of these 2 items as well as my Breast Cancer awareness bracelet will be going to Susan G. Komen for the Cure until the end of November.

Also, don't forget about the name the bracelet contest. I'll be choosing the winner on Halloween night...I know you want a theme bracelet! The contest will only be valid with 10 entries or more so tell all your friends. Contest info is in the post below this one.

It's Contest Time!

I just finished up an order for Dulce Cupcakes in Washington state. I made 100 cupcake wine charms for them for an event they were doing.

The owner of the company wanted them as givaways and wanted them to look like the cupcakes they make.

So, as if 100 cupcakes wasn't enough, I was inspired to make a cupcake bracelet.

HERE IS THE CONTEST - Think of a name!

I need to name this one. Leave a comment with a clever, catchy or otherwise appropriate name. The winner will receive a bracelet of their choice from my collection at Fyrestorm Creations. It's a $45.00 value!

I will be making the decision on Halloween night.

so, have at it, be creative and help me come up with a name for this one. We need lots of participation in this one. The contest will only be valid if I have more than 10 entries - so tell your friends.

Something for my Daughter

As you probably already know, I craft for charity. Well, one of the sweaters that we do for babies is from a free pattern on the Bundles of Love website. It was also featured as a tutorial on the mikeyssmail Youtube Channel.

So, Mikey put a challenge out there to see what people could do with this very basic sweater. He gave 2 examples of his own - a Ladybug version and a Bumble Bee version. I did the Pink Ladybug sweater that I showed in an earlier post and also used the same pattern for the bunting.

My 5 year old daughter has been bugging me to make a sweater for her, so I decided to see what I could do. I kept the same stitch count, but used a VERY bulky wool and a larger hook. Here is the result:
